Refund Policy

This Refund & Returns Policy applies to all purchases made from Imperial Sciences, a supplier of Research Use Only (RUO) laboratory materials. Please read carefully before placing an order.

1. Research Use Only Products

All products supplied by Imperial Sciences are classified as Research Use Only (RUO).

Accordingly:
Products are not for human or animal consumption.
Products must not be used for medical, diagnostic, therapeutic, cosmetic, or veterinary purposes.

Products may only be used in controlled laboratory research settings.
Misuse of RUO materials is strictly prohibited and is the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

2. No Returns Policy

Due to the specialist and perishable nature of research chemicals — and in line with exemptions under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations — we do not accept returns once products have been dispatched.

This applies even if:
The product is no longer required
The product was ordered in error
You decide you no longer need the item

Once a package has left our facility, it cannot re-enter the supply chain for safety and compliance reasons.

3. Refunds

Non-Returnable Items

Refunds will not be issued for:

Unwanted products
Incorrectly ordered products
Orders placed by mistake
Orders refused upon delivery

Faulty or Damaged Goods

If your order arrives:

Damaged
Incorrect
Or not as described

Please notify us within 7 calendar days of receipt.

You must include:
Clear photographs of the issue
Your order number
A description of the problem

After reviewing the case, we may offer:

A replacement product
Or a refund
The decision is at our discretion.

Shipping Costs

Shipping fees are non-refundable, unless the issue is the result of an error on our part.

4. Order Cancellations

Orders may only be cancelled before dispatch.
Once an order has been dispatched, cancellations cannot be processed.
If the order has already shipped, the No Returns Policy applies.

5. Buyer Responsibility

By purchasing from Imperial Sciences, the customer accepts responsibility for:

Safe storage and handling
Correct laboratory use
Compliance with all applicable UK laws and institutional standards
Ensuring the product is suitable for their research needs

Imperial Sciences accepts no liability for misuse, improper handling, or unlawful application of research materials.
